Anyone watching this on BBC1 now? The longest stretched out show I've ever watched.

What is irritating me is when the wrong answer is revealed he counts down 5..4..3..2..1..then waits another 5 seconds until the answer is actually said.

It is slooooow, isn't it and why do the BBC need another show like this anyway, Total Wipeout is on before it too. They have made 8 episodes. I really hope they don't all get shown at least not on Saturday night anyway. The people on this show scare me a bit, why are they so happy?

There is a sting used that I am sure is from another gameshow. Anyone know what gameshow I am thinking of?

Congratulations BBC your programme '101 Ways To Leave A Gameshow' has won the official Invent Meridian 'Worst Gameshow of 2010' award!

The programme is poorly made, with a terrible set, terrible editing, terrible script, terrible graphics, terrible name, terrible host and finally but most importantly, a terrible concept.

They must have thought, it's summer and nobody's watching BBC1 anyway...

I thought it sounded an awful lot like the Weakest Link.

Number 3: Die of boredom

Was incredibly bad. The pacing a massive problem, the "101 ways" all basically being dropped into a pool and the quiz and stunt element just not working together at all, unlike The Whole 19 Yards for example where they complement each other really well.

I read somewhere that these were pilot episodes with the chance of selling it to ABC.

Quote:
ABC has given a greenlight to the Endemol USA pilot "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show."

Gamer follows competitors as they answer questions while sitting in various compromising positions like a catapult. If they get one wrong, however, the player exits the show via one of several terrifying ejection devices -- such as being shot out of a cannon or speeding down a zipline.

"101 Ways" exemplifies the global thrust of the unscripted TV biz these days. Series was jointly created by Endemol USA and Endemol UK and will be shot in Argentina and broadcast on the BBC's first channel, BBC 1.

30 mins show in a 1hr, shames as with a bit effort and the show may have had a chance. The best bit is when the end up in the water and it took forever to get to it. I do think it's might have been something we see on five.

This sounds quite good. Why didn't they make that show instead of the slow repetitive rubbish that was on BBC One today?

That's it. That is what I was thinking of.

Although it's just another fad-based gameshow, the idea sounds good. I saw the trailers for it and made up my mind to be honest, don't really like Steve Jones so that played a part. I did however catch the end of it which seemed to last an hour anyway.

I don't get the counting to 5.. it lasts longer than 5 seconds and then at the end you don't reveal the answer until you've said once again that you're going to reveal the answer.

The main problem is the slowness, the idea of asking questions and then doing something nasty to the wrong answerers is ok, but why all the delay? Why do they need to keep going between studio and outside on the tower thing... just do everything on the tower!

It reminds me of some other high concept gameshows with massive complicated sets that bombed, why hasn't anyone learnt that such quiz shows just don't work. Simple is better

The 'studio' was inside the tower. It keeps moving up and down as the different levels of the tower are used.
