But that could be said about everyone in the list, not everyone finds everyone funny.
The thing about Ken Dodd is that he is quite old fashioned and hasn't had much TV exposure in recent years. Also as mentioned in the programme, his shows go on for far too long - often 5 hours or more. Doesn't matter how funny you are you've got to know when to get off
Sadly true. In defence of Doddy, he still tours and sells out wherever he goes. He's been touring for pushing 50 years now, so he must be doing something right
That's before you mention his successful recording career of course
I think Doddy went out when the alternative comedy movement came in: "I've been doing alternative comedy for years-- my mother said pull your trousers up Ken. I don't mind alternative comics-- as long as they don't starting telling jokes"
It's a shame he's not on TV so much these days, because he is a family entertainer-- last of the "music hall" comics. Maybe Peter Kay ought to help his comeback like he did with Jim Bowen
