*Sigh* How predictable. I knew Either Billy Conolly or Peter Kay would come first. I wouldn't rate those in my top 5. I was suprised to see people such as Ken Dodd, Dara O'Briain and Chubby Brown so low on the list.
Peter Kay has done 2 mildly amusing stand-up shows. he hsan't done enough for him to be considered "a true great. There are much funnier comics than Peter kay.

Indeed, and the fact that he is desperately in need of some new material lets him down.
And, how on Earth that sweary, rude black guy who was singing the nursey rhymes, was rated higher than Bob Hope and Tommy Cooper, I'll never know!
Reginald D Hunter? I saw him at some charity gig in London about 2 years ago - hosted by....Peter Kay. The person who really bombed that night however was Noel Fielding, who decided on a bit of surrealism to help the night along. Rubbish imo.
Back to the countdown...I thought John Thomson's stand up take on Bernard Manning being PC was funny. Of course the great man objected to such comedy: "If he's havin to resort to takin the piss out of people...he's got no gig!"
