Thats why I highlighed. I didn't want to much of a (insert word) but its obvious its going to be what it's going to be. Even when it was first muted as an idea for a 4 hour show a few months ago.

And, surprise surprise - at number 1 - It's...... The Simpsons!

What I don't get is they keep saying "The Simpsons" is the longest cartoon ever. The Warner Brothers cartoons have been going since the thirties, and still going strong!

I still think there are much better cartoons than the Simpsons, especially the newer episodes. I.e. Futurama.

How ridiculous the best cartoon is The Simpsons. I've never liked it. I can't understand why everyone seems to gather around to watch the Simpson's on Sky 1 at 7.00pm or 6.00pm on Channel 4 to watch this bore. It is such an irritating. Stupid quotes made on the programme tonight were:-

"Isn't the Simpsons the greatest show of all time?"
"The Simpsons is the greatest show of the 20th century"
"The Simpsons - the greatest show in television history!"

etc etc.

Who voted for this? What a load of rubbish. Watched It! - the website about classic kids TV was pretty disgusted that The Simpsons was voted as the best children's TV show of all time a few years back. I guess there will be a similar article about The Simpsons being voted as the best cartoon of all time.

Honeslty, it beggars belief. The Simpsons - utter trash and tripe!

The Simpsons has lost its way in recent seasons, but it's hard to see how anyone could describe the entire show as tripe. Some of the episodes up to and including the series being shown on Channel 4 now are classics. I suppose you either get it or you don't.

Will back you up on Futurama though - everyone start buying those DVDs and get it re-commissioned (well it's a long shot but it worked for Family Guy I suppose). It would involve giving money to good ol' Rupert Murdoch though...

Futurama is one of those cult shows that everybody loves but the networks don't want to know about. I honestly think they should make it straight for syndication. It worked for Star Trek TNG.
