I've been watching it so far and it's just been boring ones so far.And where's Futurama? One countdown with futurama in it and it hasn't been in there yet! And what's it doing on a SUNDAY NIGHT? It should be on a saturday starting at 7.30 instead of 8.00!Then it would finish at 11.35 like the 100 greatest kids TV Shows! All i've got that i like so far is an idea for a new Jamie and the Magic torch with real people!
It looks i'll just have to watch the intresting bits tomorrow because we're taping it.
Futurama could be higher up in the list for all you know, or it might have not got to 100. Though Billy West has been interviewed, and it's amazing how much he looks like Fry!
As ever I wonder who votes for these things - I can't remember ever seeing The Grinch on British TV, and for it to be voted above Roobarb seems weird. Tin Tin is another, I've never known anyone like Tin Tin.
Seen the top 5 on Teletext, kind of expected but for a couple of them the fan bases have clearly been block voting I think!
Oh well, it's nice to see the all-too-short clips - lose the talking head "comedians" - more of the actual cartoon please.
The Snowman, Bambi, The Jungle Book and Thundercats all outside the top 50. Not good.
As for who votes in these things - I do occassionally if I find them but they don't seem to advertise the voting process on TV now so you can only find out via the website. The 100 Greatest Albums is also planned (yet they are still to do the 100 Greatest TV Shows).
When they did advertise on C4 for votes you could also vote by phone - but now it's all done by the web, so this could affect results as well.
Wow, Casey Casem or however it's spelt. I remember seeing him in a few episodes of Saved by the Bell many moons ago. Didn't know he did the voice of Shaggy!
I am so glad the talking heads thought the same I did, that Futurama is better than the Simpsons, and it was only cancelled because it wasn't The Simpsons, even though it was really successful.
