It seems to mist people by but tonight its been 10 years since bbc4 started, providing us with high class programs which put BBC two to shame.

I can't think how there could make the channel any better.

God! A decade already. Why is time going by so quickly?

When I get older, losing my hair, many years from now...

Nice to see it has barely been covered on the channel. Confused

They could have at least re-hashed the original idents for the night.

EDIT : I stand corrected about not covering it!

They're marking the anniversary this evening by having a disco:

By slashing the budget and axing half the things it's become known for?

Well, isn't that just lovely:

Maybe I missed it, but there didn't seem to be anything of Only Connect in that ident.

That's a lovely ident! Smile Very nice for their 10th.

Time, where did you go?

A nice symbol - love the resolve with the candles around the logo, it really looks the part - better than the usual!

That birthday ident is beautifully animated. Dare I say, much better than their standard idents.

I agree with the above, a really nice ident for the 10th anniversary. It may interest some that there is in fact a clean version of that ident available on the BBC Website on the About the BBC blog. http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/aboutthebbc/2012/03/ten-years-of-bbc-four.shtml

Few stations celebrate their tenth anniversary and it does it nicely without cheese!

Toward the bottom of the text, this shows promise:
Quote:
...expanding the channel's role as the curator and leader of the BBC's Archive project - rolling out as much of the archive as we can in a way that is both entertaining and financially sensible - will also form a new part of the channel's activitities.
