Not sure if this should be in The Newsroom of not, I am pretty sure its going to be more comedy than the BBC News at Ten, but I like the look of the trailer:

Good choice of presenters as well, David Mitchell & Jimmy Carr can wearing the nice suits for a news programme,Charlie Brooker has taken on News programmes with his show in the past & Lauren Laverne, I haven't seen her for a while and hope she is very good, probably the link between the 3 guys.

This pretty much seems to be a series made out of the Alternative Election Night, and I just hope it'll be half decent.

Trailer looks really good actually. I don't like Charlie Brooker though.

Are you allowed to say that?

Very much looking forward to this show, fingers crossed we'll have little slices of Newswipe mixed in from Brooker.

The format for the election special didn't really work. It was too long and it was all new to them. This looks way more compact, way more planned.

According to reports, the unbroadcast pilot a few weeks ago went pretty well, as seen on the link below.

What let the Alternative Election Night down was the Come Dine With Me special... it just bloated the programme out and wasn't really of the same sort of tone as the rest of the programme.

That, and it ended far too early for my liking. And the actual results coverage was poor.

The reason it didn't work was because there was no majority and so there was no easy target to lampoon. The 1997 'Election Night Armistice' was just hours of jokes about the Tories and it was brilliant, but this time things were a bit less clear.

Still, this could work pretty well.

and again I renew my request to try and get a copy of the armistice. Was it during that show that the choir sang the theme to Channel 4 News?

This could be decent actually. Must remember to actually watch it.

Going by that, it sounds pretty good.
