I was looking at some old idents earlier & you notice down the side there's links to other items you might be interested in.

I found links to both the Hillsborough disaster & Heysell stadium footage(quite a few files in Heysel's case, but didn't look at them all!), but when you look, out of curiosity, for the Bradford football fire, that flags up that it's 'over 18's' & sign in.

Bearing in mind, there were deaths in all 3 cases, why would the Bradford footage be flagged like this, but not the other two?

EDIT : Just found another, shorter, clip which has music as well as commentary which does work without restriction!

There's a few clips from the Bradford fire with disturbing scenes including one man walking around literately burning to death.

I kinda wish I hadn't searched for and watched that.

The flagging is done by logged in users, so it's just down to whether anybody has felt it needed to be flagged

Yes but sadly this is not the first time the footage has been uploaded there and won't be the last. Once a clip is on the internet it is there forever.

It was the front page story in the local Bradford newspaper a few months back about the outrage of this footage being uploaded and demanding it was taken down. Whether it was and is now back I don't know

Why shouldn't it be up there?

It shows 1) how amazingly - shockingly - quickly fire can spread, a lesson to us all, 2) the bravery of the emergency services and others in terrible circumstances, and 3) what stupid idiots the majority of football fans are for continuing to cheer and jeer during the tragedy.

If just one person sees themselves, or their fathers, and sees what a d*ck they were that day, it makes it worth being online.

What a daft generalisation.

I remember being shown a video of the Bradford fire many times as part of fire training at a club I used to work at. Shocking stuff.

Mark of respect to those who died, and their families.
