That's another e-mail from me read out in relation to the Hull Trains Class 225 story... Peter called me 'sad'. There's a horse been despatched to see to him.....

You get one read out every night by the sounds of it. Considering this fact, how many do they actually receive!

They've probably set up one of those filter things by now, but it probably doesn't catch everything. Laughing

Tonight's Late News from Calendar was hosted by Geoff Druett. Back out of retirement again, and in the new studio!

When exactly did Peter Levy develop this annoying habit of "thanking us for being there". He says it without fail every night, sometimes 2 or 3 times, and you can usually pin point the moments he's about to say it. It's nauseating.

I think he must have said it at least five times on Wednesday. Someone needs to stop him.

It's the kind of twee thing that presenters used to say up to about twenty years ago. There was a similar sign-off on 80s spoof science programme, Look Around You, this week thanking the viewers 'without whom none of this would have been possible'.

Having said that, Peter does have a tendency to come out with out-dated phrases. Only a few years ago on Radio Leeds I heard him say they were on 'FM Stereo'. Wow!

Well actually the first glimpse was this morning during Breakfast. And I must admit, I nearly choked on my coffee. I thought it was a joke that Clare Frisby was on maternity leave. She must be well into her fifties. She looked really old even when she first joined Look North in 1995. Women giving birth at that age frightens me.

I think Clare Frisby's piece to camera might have been pre-recorded as no conversation took place between Harry and Clare....

I think Clare's roughly the same age as Helen Fospero; late thirties....

My apologies Mrs. Frisby. You've always looked old to me
