Is that a very poor way of trying to get the conversation off of Calendar and back on to Look North?!

Talking about Calendar, notice there was a bit of a cockup at the end with the weather. The appearance of the default ITV1 logo was strange

Good one on Calendar tonight, the competition winner was from Burnley. Duncan commented that he didn't realise the YTV region stretched that far and Christine said that they must have been watching on satelite

When exactly did Peter Levy develop this annoying habit of "thanking us for being there". He says it without fail every night, sometimes 2 or 3 times, and you can usually pin point the moments he's about to say it. It's nauseating.

They really excelled themselves tonight with choice of guest to fill the last 5 minutes, Brendan Shine ??? an Irish singer, interviewed from "our Manchester studio", on the basis that he's doing a gig in Skegness one night.

I've not had one read out for nearly three weeks on Belmont... anyway, they know that as a barking mad eccentric, I can guarantee a soundbite or two... they know where to come for the best ones anyhow....
