There was an opportunity for some banter tonight on Calendar with former GMTV presenter Duncan Wood and GMTV's Andrew Castle. Sadly they kept loosing the link to the OB so instead they had to fill with some e-mails.
Could you tell me why Andrew was on please and from which location?
Prehaps you elude that Paul Hudson means anything to anyone other than his family and yourself. He is hardly a celebrity, and only appears on TV for approx. 6 minutes per day.
Anyone that has ever been in a shop where he is doing a booksigning would believe that locally he is a celeb...
Yes, and the stackloads of people that turned out to his Extreme Weather DVD signing in Doncaster last November would agree with that too!

There was no comparison between Calendar and look North (Hull) tonight. A lovely, bright, light and watchable prog with Dunc and Christine working well together........while sour-faced Peter Levy stumbled his way through the autocue, reading but not understanding, smiling but not meaning it.
I think Calendar has improved since the new set and presentation style, I prefer to watch Calendar over dull the harry and christa show (sorry Look North I meant to say) any night
Live O/B from Paul Hudson tonight from Sutton Bank near Thirsk.... standing in a huge amount of snow - he was probably standing on the top of a stepladder as well....
First time I've noticed but Look North are now able to do the proper split screen weather graphics when Paul is on location. Before they moved they used to use an angled little box in the corner. Paul was in his element tonight, although I'm disapointed, we only got about 1cm of snow here in Brighouse, Paul made out we'd be snowed in for weeks!
