You mean Duncan Wood saying it's on after the break on ITV? Nothing unusual about that.

Except there hasn't been a 5.55pm promo since lockdown started.

No, it was a newly-filmed trail, complete with a drone shot of the Kirkstall Road studios. I'm sure it'll be seen again as it was rather generically worded ("for the latest news from our region, watch Calendar after the break" or something similar).

Why couldn’t they just do a 5:55pm promo with one presenter

I noticed that Paul Hudson was presenting the forecast on Breakfast yesterday and today would that have been recorded the previous evening?

Yes. If I remember they did the same for about a week back in March before the bulletins were scrapped all together

I think this is due to the on duty forecaster working from home for all the local radio stations.

I guess the different hubs are tackling this in individual ways and depending on what each presenter can do at home. In London Kate Kinsella appears to be doing the TV forecasts in front of a green screen. I've seen a presenter from another hub or region do the same.

East Midlands has been similar. Lunchtime weather has been from the presenters garden, but the main programme weather has been in the studio.
