Regarding Belmont. I've been reading the IBA's 1973/4 report and it speaks of creating a special set of programmes for that area which would have been made at Kirkstall Road. I'm curious to know if they would have been a co-production between Yorkshire and Anglia?

Perhaps Anglia would have been paid for the programmes, and/or allocated some of the ad revenue, to partly compensate the shrinking of their area?

Good Question. I think that being paid would have been more preferable.

Remember also Anglia were not part of the Trident TV enterprise

A good point. Either Trident would have had to be extended to Anglia or the IBA would have been involved.

No mention on Look Levy tonight that the Grimsby studio is closing.

Probably because not even a lot of people who work there knew they had one!

As Deejay said in other thread, nothing more hi-tech than office space and a rudimentary link back to base. In these days of 4/5G and FTTP etc, it's a facility that could be hosted anywhere on an ad hoc basis

For all the impact it has on the audience, they may as well announce the coffee machine is broken.

FWIW, Radio Humberside did used to have programmes comes from Grimsby. I expect this would have ended when David Burns replaced Lara King on mid-mornings in 2011

The BBC are also closing their office in Scarborough. Again I didn't know it existed:
