I think the regions are doing a superb job and certainly serving their communities extremely well, with limited resources and staffing levels. Some folk need reassurance of a friendly local face at this time.
It reminds me of a conversation I had earlier elsewhere about people who complain constantly about a show they supposedly hate are really fans. You don't watch a show so avidly unless you're a fan, even if it is a news magazine.
6.45pm and it's basically a newspaper noticeboard of 'thanks' to various people on Levy Live.
Once again, there's just not enough material to justify the huge cost of the White Elephant at Queenie's Gardens.
But local to the viewers nonetheless. And a high rating programme suggests that it suits more viewers than other regions.
I think for your own sanity, you ought to give up watching it and turn over.
The problem is that Levy seems to think the show is a radio one, it does 'radio things' and he presents it in a 'radio way'. This was classic radio, it looked God awful on TV.

But you're a "radiolistener" - it should be right up your street.
Is it a problem if people watch it? Just accept it isn’t for you and go out for a walk instead.
Which is fine but they need local news and that is what the programme is supposed to provide and fails to do. Are the people in East Yorkshire supposed to put up with third rate drivel or get a service from the BBC.

But it does provide local news doesn’t it? Isn’t the issue that there just isn’t enough to fill half an hour every night?
I mean North West Tonight has the same amount of time to cover the news from a region that has, off the top of my head, 5 cities and many large towns in it.

Which is why the waste of money of 'Ull should never have been spent. It was unnecessary and not needed. The news of 'East' of the region could easily have been fufilled by either pre-recording a show akin to ITV Calendar for the East of the region or simply and perhaps far more beneficial a 5 minute opt out.

But it rates ridiculously well. Surely it’s an argument for smaller regions elsewhere rather than abolishing it?
