Alex's BBC Radio Leeds show was one of a kind. Don't forget Radio Leeds dispensed with Martin Kelner, another fantastic radio broadcaster TWICE. He's exposed a serious problem at that station and we need to accept that. And yes it comes under the region which controls the TV as well.

I am aware that a certain BBC Manager in this area caused a lot of fuss about comments on here a few years ago, accusing people at a radio station of briefing on here against said manager. Best be careful if anyone dares to ruffle feathers on here Very Happy

It really wasn't. Or maybe it was, but not for the reasons you mean... The toxicity of his videos is staggering.

Its amazing what bad management can do to a radio host, and others. Whipping up such bile & aggression rubs off on a station, a team and institution.

Sometimes bile and aggression is just innate. To blame it on other people feels like a bit of a cop out.

Not really. If there's bad management it seeps through the organisation like water.

Worked pretty well, though I think they needed to show slightly more of the map - Sheffield's temperatures got cut off.

The main problem with that is that someone else is animating the map, so often its going at a different pace to the presenter. It happens often when the presenter is on an OB.

That wasn't the issue. The presenter wasn't out of sync with the graphics, the graphics on screen were cut in half. They need to adjust how they do the split screen.

6.45pm and it's basically a newspaper noticeboard of 'thanks' to various people on Levy Live.

Once again, there's just not enough material to justify the huge cost of the White Elephant at Queenie's Gardens.

What do you expect when the only story happening right now is the same one the national news covers? I bet most regions have the same problem filling the half hour currently.
