The Lincolnshire Show today with Peter in the studio again like several years now. I can't understand why they don't make of it like the Yorkshire version of Look North does by anchoring the programme on location. A missed opportunity if you ask me.

And Peter and Paul were there during the day as well!

The Anglia office is now an employment agency (there was a photo of it in the local paper a couple of months ago, it's on the opposite side of the road from the bus station), and Yorkshire's (part of the Prospect Shopping Centre) was a restaurant that as you rightly say has closed down and is currently unoccupied.

Any chance of that pic at all please?

Indeed it was a calendar club store in December. I had a wander round thinking the likes of Tina Gelder used to work in this area. Sad I know! Razz

Anglia did have a Hull office back when it was part of their region. Oddly, it's not the same location YTV would later occupy, though it is nearby.

ISTR that YTV took over Anglia's Grimsby and Lincoln offices. The Anglia office in Hull closed down, as YTV had an already established local office.

YTV served Hull before the Belmont transfer. Emley Moor was viable in Hull, plus the penetration of Rediffusion was significant, and it carried both Anglia and YTV. When Belmont was swapped, Hull's Rediffusion changed to taking TTT Bilsdale as the alternative ITV.

Lincoln's YTV office was up Bailgate (Cathedral quarter effectively) and only a short direct walk to BBC Lincolnshire.

The rent/lease there must have been huge.

I always remember spotting it back on a family holiday in 2003. Big poster boards of Christine and Duncan in the window.

Next door to The Whiskey Shop which is still there.
They moved to Sparkhouse Studios at the University in 2006.

Emley Moor is a better signal for me in West Lincolnshire than Belmont is, strangely. My Digital TV 'defaults' to Emley as it's a stronger signal. Although ironically I also receive Bilsdale too.

Some sad news, Calendar announced at the end of tonight's programme former presenter Karen Petch has passed away.

Indeed. There was a tribute at the end of the programme voiced over by Christine

That is such sad news.

Very often did the Belmont bulletins. Always thought she was a warm presenter who was underused in the main programme. Missed.
