Biased, and from a person who so dislikes Calendar that they would gladly die for the BBC. Now what was I saying about her needing a slap!

Calendar's viewer arrives! A slap is preferable to poor viewing figures!

I wonder if Katherine's mysterious sources on ratings have bothered to let her know that Look North's ratings have fallen by up to ten per cent in the last year - a significant drop. Its figures also fall throughout the programme despite a good leg-up inheritance from the six o clock news. Calendar, on the other hand, often starts from a poor inheritance, only ten per cent one day recently, and always builds throughout the programme. I'd rather be involved in a programme which gains viewers rather than watch them switch off in droves.

Figures for last Monday prove both Kat and Telly Tart to be correct, which goes to show you can put whatever spin you want on these figures.

Calendar 1800 307,000
Calendar 1815 363,000
Look North 1830 688,000
Look North 1845 611,000

So tonight's Calendar was the last of the live location format. To mark the occasion they showed highlights of the past 20 months. Including a clip of Gaynor when she used to have that stage to stand on in the red studio.

From Monday Christine and Duncan are "Together at last, make a date with new look Calendar on Valentines Day" with a typical Pete Haslam voiceovered trailer.

The new studio came together to what we expected "tonight", although they seem to be missing the rear screen still. It's also much bigger than the old set, taking up about twice the space. I wonder if they've demolished the kitchen what with it unlikely to be used again with there being no daytime regional programming anymore

Yet at the end of the news he said 'See you Monday'... Maybe he was just winding Paul up?

Did anyone see Harry Gration on Look North Leeds this afternoon with his earpiece cable dangling from him? Please, if anyone has captured it, post it. It was hilarious!
