At first glance, it looks a lot better and more flexible.

Having had a quick flick through the Sunday Politics on the iPlayer, I can't work out if they're screens all the way around, or just on the left-hand side. The background on the right of the set didn't appear to change, so not sure if that portion is fixed or not.

Did Clare launch the new set at lunchtime today please?

She did not, hopefully we will see it tonight.

Temporary set shown at the 6pm headlines so perhaps not tonight!

. . . it's a semi circular NBH style set with three seamlessly joined large rear projected screens much like in Studio B at NBH.

The 'hard area' of NBH Studio B uses a mixture of Barco back-projection cubes and plasma screens, so not really similar to those you suggest are being used at LN(Yorks/Lincs).

Are you sure it's not a large LED screen, as in the 'soft area' at NBH B?

Alas, no new set tonight.

Harry and Luxmi still in the temporary studio this evening. Presumably still some work to be done on the new set.

(Edit: AxG beat me to it!)

Was Sunday Politics definitely in Leeds yesterday?

Are we watching the same programme (Look North - Yorks/Lincs)? This doesn't look very temporary to me . . .

Is that really the best they can do? How bland and uninspired. No doubt Look North will have introduce the usual virtual newsroom background, and it will be business as usual. Another rehash of the same design.

Apologies, I got a little carried away! What I meant to say is it looks like the soft area but with seemingly rear projector screens, though I am not certain.
