The report itself was done by Spencer Stokes, I’m surprised Len Tingle didn’t do it.

Not really Len's area, he's the Political Editor, although I see James Vincent also seems to have the same title of late.

I was referring to how he seem to be gleefully announcing she had been “SACKED” on his report when it initially happened.

Amy Garcia seems to do Wednesday to Friday now, but also seems to have generous holidays so the likes of Charlotte and Amanda often appear.

Bit of a meta one on Look North, with the second story being Christa Ackroyd's tax tribuneral

Which was also awkward for Calendar, which she also used to present.

Why? It was while she was at Look North the case began.

Do you really think the Calendar staff wanted to report this sort of thing about an ex-colleague? It doesn't matter that she was currently at the competition.

Well i doubt they want to report murders, rapes or child abuse either, but it is kind of their job.

She left Calendar in 2001, I'm sure they could find somebody who joined the team in the intervening decade and a half (and therefore hadn't worked with her) to produce a package, if necessary.

I get the impression that the rivalry between the two is a friendly one, at least these days.

Exactly, also I expect there are a lot of staff who have never worked with her.

Christa leaving Look North was not really anything connected to the tax thing, that was just used as an excuse. It was more a 'management' decision - probably best described as a clash of very strong personalities.

The Yorkshire Post have an interview with Christa making that point, that other freelancers in the same position weren't taken off air

Have to admit it was surreal seeing Keeley Donovan do a two way from the sofa with Abbie Dewhurst about the snow tomorrow when she's still a part-time weather presenter.

Must happen in other regions too, Shefali at Midlands Today does some presenting, and Victoria Graham at Spotlight is formerly of the national Weather team.

I suspect it's actually quite nice for the person doing weather - they're going to get sensible questions from somebody who understands the limitations of the forecast and technology, so no curve balls - certainly no Buerk vs McCaskill scenario if it's all gone pear shaped!
