Why is the regional bulletin on so early on a Saturday afternoon, means it's impossible for Calendar to give out the football results. Another bright idea from the ITV schedulers.

It's due to this last minute Jurrasic Park business. I presume it was Jason as usual.
Also tonight due to football, Look North isn't on until 7.30pm, meaning there's no regional news on at teatime anywhere today!

On tonight's Calendar there was a story about an Emmerdale script being posted to a residential address. Chris Kiddey did the tongue in cheek report standing outside of the Emmerdale Production Centre with the big chevron in view.
This proves that the story about the one on the main studio blowing down in the wind is the truth and there is no conspiracy!

How does it ? That's a round the back, staff entrance.
Even if it had blown down in the wind out the front, how long would it take to replace it ? It's been about a year now. I'm not holding my breath to see it replaced any time soon. It's more likely that the lettering will go next to be replaced by an itv yorkshire sign, like the flag already has.

Indeed what a surprise, they've only had the current one about 18 months. It doesn't seem 2 minutes ago since we were all discussing Christine siting at the short edge of the desk.
Doing it from the newsroom will be interesting, it'll be like a flashback to the mid 90s. I wonder if they've redecorated a bit.
Duncan said there would an exciting new announcement made next week. No doubt it'll be a studio like London Tonight's although I don't know how they would manage to do the OB format without a big screen. Unless they are dropping the OB format.

The newsroom set did have a big screen, split into 4 sections a bit like the "Window" in the last Look North set at Woodhouse Lane, used for the throw to the subregions
Incidentally shouldn't this really have been a new thread? It's a bit more significant than day to day goings on
