Extremely disappointing as it is still very much a massive event on the Lincolnshire calendar for a county heavily reliant on farming and agriculture.
Look North Leeds will no doubt pull out all the stops next month for the Great Yorkshire show.
No coverage of the show either today, or any other news for that matter as it was a special programme marking 10 years since the 2007 floods. Was a decent problem nonetheless, and justified given the damage it did to Hull but a roundup of the other stories wouldn't have gone afar.
On another note, Look Hull seem to be doing whatever they want with their lower thirds, half the time they use the Gill Sans Look North logo, the other half they decide use Helvetica logo (sometimes with the BBC logo, sometimes without), and sometimes they end up plonking a random picture in the right hand corner, today a random flood sign for example. They don't half look naff at times. A few times they haven't even used the proper template at all and just start flinging random shapes together.
Shirley is on again this morning, so I presume the Hull bulletin is dominated by Lincs show news and travel?
Just had a look at the lunchtime Look North Hull and it was Shirley Henry presenting from the Hull studio bizarrely, so maybe she's moved to Hull instead. That would certainly explain why she's been on Breakfast for the past few days.
Calendar coming live from the Great Yorkshire Show tonight. First time they've done a proper OB from the show for quite a number of years, maybe before the various regional cuts, normally they just send Jon to do a few minutes.
Its a wonder they mentioned it... Look Hull tends to ignore the East Riding of Yorkshire. My Auntie is always complaining to me that they never mention the cricket results in the sport.
