There are various possible solutions to avoid an overlap, such as...
Calendar could make sure that the weather & pollen count are literally the very last thing that happens (i.e. then going straight from the post-weather sponsorship sting to the start of the ITV Evening News), thus meaning the final presenter link is a couple of minutes or so before the BOTH.
Pre-recording the opening moments of Look North (at least the pre-titles introduction, and maybe even the first post-titles link too). I'm sure that the Six tends to end variously early or late much of the time (if the BBC regions happen to start at, say, 18:28 tomorrow and the shared programme running order hasn't allowed for such an eventuality, there could be some messy junction(s) on either/both Yorkshire programmes).
Or, indeed, both of the above - thus maximising the "buffer zone" for avoiding any clash.
