How long's Yvette Cooper MP been presenting Calendar?

Only joking, but unusually the national BBC News report today on social media companies featured an interview where she was sat in the presenters chair in the Calendar studio.

It looked native HD to me too, I've lost track, is Calendar's studio HD ?

Breakfasts opts split again this morning, presumably due to the local elections. Tom Ingall presenting in Leeds.

Do we know if the pan-regional breakfast bulletins are still a trial, or if they've been adopted as a permanent arrangement? And if the latter, I wonder how they've measured its success.

I manage to get home for one weekend in ages and find that there is no sound on the Look Hull news bulletin - standards really haven't improved.

They seem to have gone back to their old habits recently: pointless OBs from outside their studios and reports that scrape the barrel a little. They suddenly decided Scarborough was in their remit this week again, plonking a report about Bernie Clifton being in Scarborough, stolen from the Leeds programme I assume, though it was nice to see Ian White pop up on the Hull edition.

Peter even had one of his rare days off this week, with Caroline Bilton presenting the 6:30 programme for the first time in a good few years yesterday.

Edit: Looking on iPlayer at tonight's soundless Look North, the Hull forecast strangely used the pan-regional weather map, and included references to North Yorkshire, despite Leeds having their own forecast.

Tonight's Calendar running order was an extreme juxtaposition it has to be said.

Live coverage of Huddersfield's victory celebrations wrapped either side of an extended report on the grooming of children.

On Look North, apparently there was supposed to be a live link up with Harry at Wembley last night which went down, which is why Shirley Henry got all of a fluster and had to start reading from paper scripts with a filler story.

Amanda Harper with Look North breakfast this morning, although I'm not entirely sure why.

It would appear that the programmes were split as part of the GE special edition of breakfast.
