Harry and Paul live from the Great Yorkshire Showground tonight ahead of the show starting tomorrow. I guess they were there tonight instead of Clare being there in breakfast tomorrow, as I doubt Victoria Holland will give it more than a brief mention.

I forgot to mention there was a report from Wesley Smith on Calendar last Friday.

I don't even think Look Hull cover the Lincolnshire Show anymore like they used to, with Peter in a paddock....

For the first time ever, tonight's Look North was presented by Ian White and Amanda Harper

And Tom Ingall on at lunchtime as well which is almost as rare.

Random presenter number 4 did Breakfast bulletins Laughing

Didn't catch tonight's programme but I suspect it may have been very good?

I only caught the last few mins where Paul refered to them as the D team.

It's probably half C/D team really!

You can tell its summer - 4 different presenting duos in 4 days. So far we've had Harry with Nicola, Charlotte and Amanda and now Amanda with Ian. I wonder if we'll see Clare Frisby make a return to the 6:30 programme this summer for the first time in years. It seems more likely given how she now does the lunch shift.

Abbie Dewhirst doing the late weather as well, which might be a first.

John Shires on Calendar, who seems slightly narked that the budget didn't stretch to him going out to Rio, as he keeps telling us every night!

Live report on the Huddersfield dog attack on Calendar, and just at the very moment the Ice Cream van turns up and tinkles through half the item!

At a guess, Keeley was in Leeds as a back up for the OB failing and probably to prepare the forecast Paul presented. Hull don't normally cover the Great Yorkshire Show so taking a forecast from there may have looked odd.

Although the East coast resorts are technically all in different regions (Scarborough/Filey = Leeds, Brid = Hull, Whitby = Newcastle) there is a lot of overlap

A bit late, but:

Filey = Newcastle

Filey is further south along the coast than Scarborough. Scarborough is very firmly in the LN Leeds patch.

Whitby is the crossover point really.

With the right aerial you could get any of three in Filey. Hunmanby (Belmont relay) and Oliver's Mount (Emley relay since 2002 when it switched from Belmont after complaints that the people of Scarborough didn't want Hull news) are strongest, but Bilsdale is possible.

As Filey is part of Scarborough for council purposes, you would expect Leeds to cover matters of relevance to Filey residents, and Leeds and Hull to do stories of interest to tourists.

It is a bit daft, in an ideal world the coastal resorts would be a sub region of their own as they share so much in common.
