Could the idea be that they go down the route of Calendar? One set of presenters in Leeds doing two different shows, one for "Leeds", the other for "Hull"? If they are serious about saving money surely this is the only way of doing it?
Abbie Dewhurst has started doing the weather this morning. A little nervous and rushed (which you can expect) and nearly ran out of time on the forecast I saw but she seems good, and it's nice to see a new weather face!
She was put right in the deep end last night, doing the hub forecast for all three Look Norths. Seems like Look North are trying to get her known as one of the main weather faces, being referred to simply as "Abbie". Although I don't think NE&C quite got the memo as the presenter name-checked her as "Rebecca Dewhurst".
The weather on tonight's Look North with Levy came pre-recorded from what looked like the main Leeds Look North Studio in a badly framed shot. Presumably the Leeds CSO was unavailable?
Also from what I gather, the Leeds' Look North was simulcast on the NC given what happened today.
Calendar's short 5 minute bulletin coming live from Birstall with Christine. Shame that on an occasion like this it can't be extended.
Very rare to see Calendar being presented by three senior presenters tonight. Duncan live in Birstall and John and Gaynor in the studio, this is on the East edition. Most of the West edition coming live from Birstall, although going to Gaynor briefly for some other stories. Also oddly the Sky EPG is showing "Regional News and Weather" listed from 6:25-6:30, straight after Calendar. Presumably a Election broadcast was meant to go here, maybe Calendar are dropping it and extending their programme.

A commercial break was shown in the London region.

I think they've done something like that before, maybe the Ann Maguire murder in Leeds, where Christine presented the north programme at the scene, and South had a completely different programme with John and Gaynor.
Look North failed to opt out at 7:55 this morning, we had BBC London instead. The stereotype that the main news in London is always about the tube wasn't proven wrong.

I was in Yorkshire on Weds, I did a double take at 07:25, the regional presenter looked rather like Sally Nugent (I thought)
