A bit of a nightmare on tonight's late bulletin for the East region. Firstly the backdrop screens turned off, then we were treated to a view of their VT clock, a few seconds later the opening titles started playing over Gaynor talking (at the wrong camera) and to top it all off we lost the sound for a few moments towards the end.

Got any video. Sounds like a decent breakdown.

Digital Spy, reporting on the death of North Yorkshire based astrologer Jonathan Cainer, has referred to Calendar as an ITV current affairs programme (implying it's a national show), instead of local news. They also got the date he returned to his Daily Mail column wrong (should be 2004, not 2014). Idiots.

Technical problems with Jon Mitchell doing the weather chat from the YTV roof.
The question is did the weather chat go ahead as planned on the Belmont version?
As the way they were laughing about the problems and then suddenly stopped dead and went on as normal suggests it did

Has anyone ever noticed how that often on the Sky EPG, specifically for Calendar, on seemingly random dates the programme description states "Duncan Wood & Gaynor Barnes present the latest news from around the region..." even on nights, like tonight, when Duncan or Gaynor is not actually presenting? Most nights it simply gives the generic "Latest news from around the region...". It seems odd how it's only ever Duncan & Gaynor and never Duncan & Christine, considering they're the main presenters.

Christine has not appeared since end of April, neither has Duncan but he's busy reporting, has anyone else noticed Duncan has stopped hosting on Friday nights, John shires instead and I believe Monday was the first time Jon Hill has presented at all in new set
