The OB element of tonight's Calendar came live from Hallam FM in Sheffield. They were of course reporting on the UK Radio Aid. Don't ever say they are lazy, they could have chosen Aire FM instead!
Lunchtime Look North was today hosted by Christa Ackroyd
Apparently Calendar has some kind of celebration of 40 years of regional programmes this evening. Expect some Richard Whiteley (and probably ferret) action!

Indeed, the story being that the regional archives of BBC North and Yorkshire Television are now available to watch in TV Heaven at the NMPFT in Bradford. A rare situation where both broadcasters are in partnership and recognise each other.
On Calendar classic clips of Calendar and Look North were shown.

On Calendar there was banter about Harry Gration including a clip of some sort of show that was presented by Harry and Christine Talbot. Gags about who's that other bloke etc and Christine saying he knows how to treat a lady.
On Look North there was banter about what Christa used to look like on Calendar with Richard Whiteley. On Calendar Richard Whiteley told one of his old tales. Duncan was live at the museum for the Calendar OB.
very odd Look North Hull tonight = weather at the end and no banter between Peter and Paul, any 'insiders' here care to fill me in?
Do you mean Paul Hudson? He usually does his weather forecasts at the Leeds studio I thought. Anyway, the weather forcast never is live on the late news - it was pre-recorded.

Apart from the first forecast from Queen's Court, where Paul did the forecast from the new Hull studios!
