Ian White is busy, he did the late news last night, breakfast this morning and now the lunchtime news as well.

The 6:30 program yesterday too - which is unusual in recent years.

On Wednesday morning the weather graphics packed in so Owain had to ad lib with Clare

Would have been good if Look Leeds gave a warning before they showed dead lambs lying on the floor with bullet holes, the handywork of some sick f***er.

Tonight on calendar it's Duncan and Claire Montgomery, first time she's appeared as a newsreader, couldn't Lisa Adlam have done it, she did the lunchtime bulletin.

Indeed seems rather strange with Claire unknown to YTV viewers being used. Gaynor was on GMB duty this morning.

oh I was wondering where gaynor is, because she hasn't appeared for several weeks, I also thought it was strange that Lisa Adlam did lunchtime bulletin, maybe it was a last minute thing, probably Christine or whoever was supposed to be presenting couldn't make it at last minute, maybe Claire was the only person available.

I thought Calendar was coming on 5 minutes early then, they accidentally played out the 6pm ident instead of the coming up preview after The Chase.

Slight mistake on tonight's Calendar, at least on the East Edition. The main screens in the studio showed the usual Humber Bridge backdrop but for most of the bulletin the side screens showed the Leeds backdrop.

Something similar has happened a few times on Central. Birmingham on back screens, and Nottingham on sides, or daytime on back and nightime on sides. The side screens must be on a different feed?

Central has also, twice I think had the orange lines continue onto the video feed from the pillars, but they have not done it since. They done this at the end of both shows I have seen. They must have been trying it out to see how it looked.

I didn't realise that the weekend bulletins were sub regional. Also thought they were pan regional. Which if so might explain both East and West backgrounds?

I presumed it was a sub-regional bulletin, I can't recall seeing any West Yorkshire related stories or Leeds being on the weather map. For all other pan-regional editions, to the best of my knowledge, they have used that ugly generic backdrop - although I may be wrong on all of this.

Weekends are sub regional, you can usually tell with the sports results. I managed to see both this weekend's bulletins (rare appearance by Gaynor on Saturday) and they both used the Leeds backdrop on the Emley moor version.
