Is the late Calendar bulletin broadcast live, or is it recorded? The reason I ask is that the time on the clock on Leeds Town Hall in the backdrop, didn't show the correct time.

Well one of the bulletins has to be recorded doesn't it because of a west and east version of the program. The presenter can't present two bulletins at once so one of them is recorded and one is live.

I think tonight's west (Leeds) was recorded at 9.25pm then Very Happy

I thought they had to be recorded pretty much immediately before broadcast.

You're assuming the backdrop is live - what if it's a recording too?

The set looks good but I will be biased and say you can't beat the Granada Reports set as it is a real backdrop during the spring and summer.

And the rest of the year.

They turn the studio around to have a backdrop of the newsroom when it's dark during the winter.

I think the point being made was that the newsroom view is just as 'real' as the view out of the window!
