I'm not a fan of that generic backdrop either

That generic newsroom / gallery backdrop is awful. All too dark. Whats with the red light between the presenters ?

'On air' - That's terrible, and it's very dark! Did they get rid of half the lights when they installed this new set?

It is very dark, they are possibly struggling to light it well with all that reflective black all over the set. Might be why there was a delay.

Problem with the Leeds view is that they don't have a distinctive skyline, the old shot Look North used to use was never great either.

At least if the vision mixer breaks, they've got plenty of spares in their gallery...

Someone should put a call into ITN and get a copy of the backdrop used on national ITV News.

Just watching on +1, on the East edition, awful shadow on the front of Christine and Duncan on main story. Assume it's the camera.

The generic backdrop is dire. The shot of the Humber Bridge for the East edition is excellent. Surely there's a better view of Leeds somewhere?

Somewhere like Millennium Square would be a nice view

Bring back the Sheffield train station façade.

What view of Leeds did they use before?

The set looks good but I will be biased and say you can't beat the Granada Reports set as it is a real backdrop during the spring and summer.
