DO
Why?
Because it's been over 4 weeks, thought that was obvious.
But why is that ridiculous? We don't know if they've had problems installing the set, a contractor cut important cables, they discovered the floor needed relaying, or they uncovered a portal to hell when they removed the rostrum. To brand the situation "ridiculous" while not knowing anything about the situation is stupid.
It doesn't mean they aren't launching it today just yet, some programs launch their new studio on their main programme.
What's the point of doing that if the studio is ready?
A good reason is that the studio can be tested during the day, with the staff who are going to use it that evening. Using it on the first programme of the day, where there is traditionally fewer staff around, means you've got to rely on it working properly first time.
Launching on the evening programme can be done after hours of testing and rehearsing, giving you confidence that it's all working as it should,
Why would it be more complicated to present from the same space they've been using for the last few weeks, using the equipment and processes they've been using for the last few weeks?
I don't understand why some of you seem to be taking it personally that they've not shown the new set on screen yet. It'll appear when it, and the people using it, are ready, and there is nothing that moaning about it, calling it ridiculous, or blaming it on arsing about will speed that up.
