Missed the national news appearance.

Anne Marie is one of the better reporters on Look North Hull, experience shows. She occasionally presents short bulletins but less so since Levy does the lates shift. So other bulletins are spread out thinner.

Seems there were two completely different types of Calendar bulletin tonight.

North had a programme dominated by the Anne Maguire story, with no other news. Christine on the OB with Duncan in the studio.

Apparently South had a normal programme where the Anne Maguire story featured, but there was also other news and the sports roundup etc, presented by Duncan and Gaynor.

It was one of those strong regional news editions tonight with reports lined up from all elements of the story, the sort of editions that get nominated for the news awards.

Late Look North last night was presented from in front of a CSO screen with one camera angle.

They've had someone different doing the weather during breakfast this week.

Alina Jenkins I assume in the basis she was doing the radio early shift.

As was this evening's bulletin - could be interesting...!

Presented by Shirley Henry too who I've not seen before.

Recognise Bradford Uni's TV studio set from anywhere?

Is it just me but every time I see Tim Iredale, he just seems so smug in all his reports?

You should have seen the devolved powers special last week, when he walked on at the start, like he was hosting The X factor.

I've just watched the repeat on BBC Parliament, he seemed to growl his way throughout the whole programme. Not that the audience were much better. Still interesting though.

No prizes for guessing which edition of Calendar was the live one tonight as they forgot to change the background, so it suddenly changed from a view of Leeds to a view of Sheffield at 6:25 and then the generic background a few minutes later!
