Thanks to 'Steve in Pudsey' and 'Jolly Turnip'.
I have often wondered how the 'other work' that some presenters do over and above their 'core' is delivered and if any correspondent can enlighten me I would be obliged?
With respect to 'Jolly Turnip' there is nothing to suggest that the BBC aren't paying five full time salaries either, though I suspect that these are matters for the 'talent', their agents and their employer. I would concur that a mass market daily newspaper might disagree with me however, as you suggest.

The colour matching on the cameras at Look North Leeds is a bit off tonight - the difference in the skin tones when they cut from the two shot to Amy's close up was very noticeable.

It was mentioned on Look North tonight that Kay Crewdson starts presenting a new show tommorow. Finders Keepers Saturday 9-12 on BBC Radio York.
Seems to be a treasure hunt format, I think Radio Manchester do/did a similar show and no doubt probably loads of other stations as well.
Whether this is instead of or as well as Saturday BBC North hub weather isn't known.

Contrary to recent articles, this show has been going for several weeks now.
Meanwhile at the same time tomorrow, Keeley Donovan also starts a new programme on BBC Radio Humberside.
The weather girls are taking over the airwaves.

Could be an interesting ratings battle, Keeley on Radio Humberside up against Kay on Radio York.
I had thought that Keeley and Kay as a double act could do a decent version of the Treasure Hunt inspired show, alternating between the studio and radio car roles each week.

Paul has a better slot on the other stations in Yorkshire it has to be said. I guess Radio York, who make it, offered it to Leeds and they had nowhere to put it in the schedule.

Radio Leeds have already pulled an One To One during the week, replacing it with an afternoon political show, which is 'odd' although welcoming to get away from BBC local radio's obsession with playing Phil Collins all day, every day.
