Lunchtime Look North was all FA Cup Final+Weather. Other news not even given 30 seconds. While the Cup Final is obviously going to be dominating proceedings, I don't think it is justifiable to totally ignore other news as well

A two min roundup would not have justified Peeta Ego stood outside Wembley with a handful of carefully positioned fans. What is interesting is the total lack of coverage from the main news bulletins. They are only interested when its a doom and gloom story from the north. In the unlikely event that Hull FC do win the cup, I wonder expect they will find something negative to poo poo the area..

I've heard it's because of something bigger, but I've not yet been able to get a second source on the details, it was a bit ago too.

I don't see why as they have three weather presenters with 2 shifts per day, so there should always be someone available. with Keeley and Kay doing earlies and Paul doing the pm shift and one of the females doing cover on that when he's off. At weekends, there's only one update now on Saturday, so that should be easy to cover too.
Jen Bartram has now left the BBC, her last forecast was a couple of days ago.
Lisa isn't back until August so expect some cover faces on Breakfast and at weekends every now and then probably
