Should be a different line up on Calendar tonight as according to Twitter they've all headed to the RTS awards, although apparently they are still stuck on the train many hours late and Duncan is getting irate, which wouldn't be good PR for the train operator. Calendar are nominated for regional news programme of the year alongside BBC Newsline and BBC East Midlands Today.

Calendar haven't won by the way, it went to EMT.

Calendar was hosted by David Hirst and Kate Walby with Lucy Verasamy on weather also by the way.

I think she's at least done a weekend bulletin before. I wasn't aware she was from Granada, she seems to report for Calendar a lot.

Seems to be a lot of sharing of reporters of neighbouring regions these days.

And as is always the case when someone from London (or wherever Emma Jesson does the weather from), hardly any mention of any local placenames, you generally get a mention of the Pennines and that's it.

I'm surprised they have Sian doing the regionals, considering how infrequent she does the nationals.

Rachel Townsend and John Shires did the news by the way

Emma Jesson ususally presents from Salford. Granada have had Lucy Verasamy present down the line from London a few times lately. The way it's noticable on Granada is that anything that is coming from Salford is in HD, anything else usually upscaled.

TROGGLES
Its Hull's old stationary cupboard studio. I seem to remember at one point the camera was sat on a pile of books on a chair - looks like they've got themselves a tripod at last and someone forgot to lock the tilt key Smile
