I believe Liz is off with some form long term illness.
The Toby situation is interesting, taking what has been said at face value, a manager asked him for a chat over a pint, during which he was told that either he or said manager would be leaving soon. Toby tweeted that he'd been "pretty much sacked" and described the (unnamed) manager in terms consisting of four letters.
Lots of people on radio Sheffield's Facebook telling the BBC to get over themselves.
If things are as they seem, you have to wonder what the hell the manager thought he was playing at. Having that sort of conversation with beer involved doesn't sound like the best judgement call ever.

Well, there's nothing wrong with having to have a 'difficult' conversation with an employee
in an informal, neutral environment, and a pub can be as good a place as any, however,
not knowing the details of the consumption levels of either party, who's to say what caused
the escalation of events !

Don't assume that the manager was a man - remember who runs the region... lets not forget a previous Hull editors rapid disappearance /saga.
The (deleted) tweet at the centre of this was "Got asked to go for a pint by BBC manager. Got pretty much sacked. Threatened to phone bosses. Cos he's a [expletive]. Lie in".
Nice festive editions of Calendar and Look North tonight. Not sure if there is any ITV regional news tomorrow or not. There often is at least in Daybreak.
Tomorrow from 12pm on Radio Leeds - Keeley Donovan and Kay Crewdson with festive music and chat.
Paul Mooney with Look North weather this lunchtime, and recorded in front a studio screen rather than a cso. First time he's appeared in Yorkshire I believe.
