*SHOCK HORROR* - on Look North (E. Yorks & Lincs), Peter Levy is doing the unthinkable; he is having FOUR DAYS OFF WORK!

Anyone got any smelling salts?

Unbelievable! When did he last have time off? It must have been years ago!

Last year really!. We do this every year, it seems Christmas is the only time Peter Levy takes time off!

It'll no doubt be Tom Ingall on Boxing Day, possibly regionwide?

It was Ian White with that reporter bloke, whatshisname on the Hull one.

The bulletin seemed very much like a standard Sunday one really, rather than a Boxing Day bulletin done with limited staff.

Paul Murphy!! Smile

Well Kitty will be pleased because guess who is presenting the Leeds Look North none other than.....Tom Ingall!!
(In Hull was Caroline Davis ~ do you think she has now left Leeds?)

Strange weather arrangements on today's teatime Look North. On the Leeds version with Ian we had a forecast from Helen Willetts but on the Hull version with Helen they had to make do with static slides

Little Kitty is purring with profound satisfaction!!

Theory re: Caroline Davis... maybe they're increasing her airtime as a possible replacement for Helen Fospero if all these 'she's quitting Hull' rumours are true and come to fruition.....

It was Tom Ingall and then Ian White again today on Look North, with Jason McCartney on Calendar News.

BBC Radio Leeds has had a schedule different than usual this week. The legend that is Martin Kelner has been hosting the Breakfast show, and 'Mr Look North voiceover man' Stuart Barrett was doing Drivetime in for Darragh who's back tommorow.

Also looking at the RT, it's interesting to note that the pan-regional 'Night Network' programming across all 4 BBC Local Radio stations started at 4pm on Christmas Day

Radio Times was pretty crap for local radio this Christmas. There were entire days missing for some stations, some printed the wrong way round, lots of "As Stoke" dotted about all over the place for network programming - for one of them there wasn't even anything listed for Stoke.

The way Jason McCartney looks into the camera is a bit scary... or is it just me?

Ah, been meaning to have a listen to Martin on breakfast, but I've been listening to Toby Foster on Radio Sheffield if I've put the radio on that early. Another change to the line-up was that John Ryan, managing editor of Radio Leeds did a few shows.

He must be one of the few then to step in when needed.

I remember the dear departed Tony Inchley of BBC WM, doing the odd stand in(when Doolan was having a bout of serious illness ISTR!), besides doing an occasional 'talk to the punters' phone in , asking for gripes about the station.

Keith Beech, the current editor has not done many 'punters' phone ins yet, plus whether he can do his own show I don't know !
