Hmm. I saw that too. I hope the conclusions I'm jumping to are wrong. Rather fond of Harry.

It looks like Amy will only be doing a 4 day week, like many other presenters. Charlotte Leeming will present on Fridays.

Surely not another night of the long knives in Leeds?

I think it's innocent enough. Harry's not the most natural Twitter user, may have been getting some grief/trolling and responded publicly rather than to the person concerned (you can easily see the "still life in me yet" thing as being a response to somebody suggesting they should have replaced him with a younger model at the same time as introducing Amy).

He's since tweeted that he's "off Twitter" but still at Look North.

Sounds like you may be right Steve. This article says pretty much the same thing...

Quite obvious that Calendar East was the live one tonight as they left the Sheffield backdrop on at the start of the pan-regional top story, a quick slide later and they'd changed it to the generic one.

Later on at the start of the pan-regional end bit, Christine started and then stopped herself saying 'John Shires reporting' realising that only applied to the Calendar East programme.

It's notable that the People's Millions sections are different on each version, with different films and different winners. Calendar West had a live interview in the studio, the East version didn't.

Coordinating all these different live and recorded parts, making sure they all fit to time must be a stressful affair.

Gets beyond a joke really. If ITV doesn't want to do regional news any more properly, then why doesn't it petition itself to not do it all?
