Promoting that all 3 presenters (inc Paul) are from Yorkshire, which is always the angle they use, probably considering neither of Calendar's are (although Jon Mitchell will be), although it hardly matters if said presenter has lived here for many years.

It'd be nice if ITV allowed the regions to advertise their regional news programmes once or twice a year.

Will be interesting to see how Amy Garcia turns out, she's got a tough act to follow, following a few weeks of Charlotte Leeming being in the chair.

Going to be interesting story on Look Hull tonight on... and I quote 'why the Humberside name persists despite it not existing for over 15 years. Local MP Graham Stuart is leading the campaign to get rid of the address. Wonder if they will touch on the BBC propagating the name Smile

They could very easily rename it BBC Radio Humber, job done, they don't even need to get new signs, just scrape off the last 4 letters!

BBC Radio Hull?

Look Hull?

Or perhaps Peter's Place, with the studio being based on an old biddies living room with a roaring fire and a cat on his knee, whilst reading out the unemployment figures for Grimsby? Very Happy

Strong words there.

I've just watched Look North Hull on the iPlayer to see the report about the "Humberside" name.

I've seldom watched Look North Hull before. I certainly don't wish to jump on the Levy-hating bandwagon (not least of all because it's not my region), however...

I noticed during the few minutes that I was watching, that Mr Levy seems to constantly raise then lower both his eyebrows at incredibly frequent intervals, and never in a way that serves to complement and/or punctuate whatever word(s) is/are coming out of his mouth at that same moment.

If I was ever in a conversation with a person who did that whilst they were speaking to me, I would find it impossible not to rage at them for their inexplicable habit. So, I can only imagine how irritating it must be for regular Look Hull viewers to have to watch their main anchor doing this needless facial gymnastics every evening.

The response from viewers didn't get a mention - however the whole programme was upstaged by the report showing cameramen running away from cows.

If I ever meet you, I'll be sure to point out every involuntary action you make, and then shout at you if you don't stop doing the ones I dislike.

The constant breathing through teeth thus making that thhhhhthhh sound, which is a habit that a lot of BBC local radio presenters have, is very off putting from Uncle Pete.

But Troggles most of the viewers are 87 years old. Hello dear, have you got your cuppa?
