Awkward story for Look Levy last night with the local MP finally having some success getting the post office to delete the 'H' word from the postal database. Daringly they asked for opinions and were swamped with anti-Humberside complaints and comment. Not so daringly was the fact they had to avoid many adverse comments on why the BBC perpetuate the 'H' name and even Levy dropped his usual plug for his radio show on the 'H' station and no graphic either!

But Radio Humberside launched three years before the county of Humberside ever existed!

To be fair on the last point - he is off air on radio for his usual summer break at the moment

Austin Mitchell won't be happy with that.

If you look in the history books the consensus of most historians and journalists is that Radio Humberside was created to pre-empt the county which had to be created to pay for Barbara Castles Bridge.

It looks like Look North have realised that if Keeley is on the late weather shift she might as well do the news as well, allowing Harry or Nicola to go home early. They could employ that idea every Friday if they wanted to.

Harry Gration is busy today, he did lunchtime, main and late Look Norths

On main Look North he was live from the Ebor meeting at York Racecourse. I'm not sure if he actually managed to broadcast, the only bit I saw he had a load of drunk blokes around him with the crew trying to get rid of them, before they went back to the studio without him speaking.

That was the second attempt at Harry's live - the previous attempt just featured him telling somebody behind the camera that he had no cue (studio sound/talkback in his earpiece)

No weather graphics at lunchtime, just the slide they used to use at breakfast.

It was also a pan-Yorkshire bulletin for some reason, although there was a Hull story and no apology (and Keely Donovan is a familiar face to Hull viewers) so maybe it was planned. Hull will back as normal at teatime.

Late decision to go pan regional so no time to set up graphics for a pan regional forecast? Kay did tea time.
