Christa's departure its another' night of the long knives' scenario of which a certain HLRP seems to specialise in. Look Hull's editor Steve Punter suffered a similar fete a few years back under the same boss. Strange that no 'BBC management' were available for that decision either.
I can only hope that what goes around comes around.

The only problem Troggles in this case is that the 'night of the long knives' lasted several months.
If there was a disciplinary scenario, then why not say so? You don't have to say the reasons why.
The BBC again have proved to be totally inadequate when it comes to dealing with it's shareholders - US.

1) It's a matter relating to an individual's employment contract so they can't release such details
2) It's a programming matter. The BBC has a get out of jail free card which they use liberally - then can refuse to answer anything even tenuously related to programming
I fear that, given how the BBC invoke that clause whenever they can for the most innocuous of enquiries, you'll get nowhere.
The last few times I've caught the late Look North they've ended with the roof-cam pointing at the bus station between the studio wide shot and the end cap. Looks good

40 years ago it was probably the same place that got this shot:
I thought Calendar missed a PR opportunity tonight. With Look North going through a rough patch it would have been a good idea to broadcast Calendar from the Great Yorkshire Show presented by the main team.
Instead they just sent Jon Hill & Kerrie Gosney.
Look North had Harry, Nicola & Paul broadcasting live with Phil in the studio.
In fact all three Look Norths were at the GYS - and all simultaneously using the same sat truck according to Tim Smith (Editor of the Yorkshire variant) on Twitter.

I wouldn't tar all the BBC with the same brush.
Certain aspects of BBC management are totally draconian. Whilst I accept that when dealing with hugely inflated ego's and luvvie tantrums you have to be firm - the is no need for the secrecy and Machiavellian events which have transpired yet again. The BBC has civil service old style management which unfortunately likes to brush everything under the carpet then pretend that nothing has happened,
