Over t'other side, I hadn't realised that Christine and Duncan were the longest-running ITV regional partnership.

They did a charming talk recently at a college in Leeds. The first 10 minutes is their history, the rest is a Q&A and then a interview with a couple of students...

Presumably Christa never got a 'send off' on Calendar, she just went on extended gardening leave before turning up on Look North ?

And now, she doesn't get a proper send off at the BBC, instead she's the subject of a news report.

Not much to show for nearly 25 years on TV. No Dickie Bird coming on with a cake. Sad

Yes on Calendar one day she was on, the next Christine Talbot was presenting, with no mention of her for years afterwards.

I expect it's practically a certainty she will appear on one of these local TV stations that are starting soon.

I wonder who will end up as the proper replacement. Personally I prefer when Charlotte Leeming covers compared with Nicola Rees.

There's always Clare Frisby, although they'd have to employ more reporters as she'd rush through all the programme in the first 15 minutes!

I wonder if Amy Garcia is ever supposed to be coming back to Look North, although I don't think she'd be right for the top job either.

Look North to me has always been Harry & Christa, but looking at the videos with Clare & Harry, I would like to see Clare Frisby be returned to presenting the 6:30 bulletin. Although I could see Charlotte Leeming being another contender.

She did while on secondment to South Today.
