Well, Suzanne Virdee is now involved with Stratford Upon Avon Tv, so its possible.
I wonder whether she would wind up presenting news programmes on the upcoming Leeds Television or one of the other upcoming local TV channels in Yorkshire - that's if she has left of course?

It sums up what most peoples opinions are but BBC management won't accept - He is a radio presenter NOT a journalist - so why is he a doing a journalists job when it is clear he has NEVER had the training and is incapable of the most simplest of interview? His only technique is radio bluster - 'Err well strong word there, Good evening young man etc.' - it's the time old radio comfort trick of saying the same stuff at the same time in the same way. Its fine on Radio Alan Partridge but wholly inappropriate for a news programme. Looks North Hull's supposedly (artificially) high AI figures are held up by the blue rinse brigade, its the only thing which keep him and the programme on air.

The thing is Troggles, if he was female, he would have been removed a long time ago, similarly to the way Moira Stuart was treated.
You are right, the blue rinsers in Spilsby or Haltenprice are keeping him there. All he needs is a nice Shackleton's chair and a coffee table and they get exactly what they want.

Look ULL relies far too much on 'alleged' personality to get through a programme. The problem of course is that it's a non region with very little actual 'NEWS'. Most of the programme has to be filled with padding, fluff and nonsense. We are now three DG's since the great £24million BBC Hull experiment started. I would have thought by now they could quietly merge the region again, adding Levy to the new programme from Leeds in place of Christa/Harry retiring. You then dump the expensive lease at Queenies Court spend the savings on a small opt studio and radio set up for Bumbleside in those nice new high profile industrial units near the Humber Bridge. Beef up the local reporting and dump the excess and duplicated management - everyone wins.

Any sign of Harry retiring yet? Fred Dineage is in his 70s now and still hasn't gone, so we might still have a few more years of him yet.
Harry is 63 this year, Bob Warman 67 and Fred 71. I think Warman has gone 'part time' the same with Fred.
Isn't Stuart White about the same age as Harry?

I live in Salford, but I grew up in 'Ull - the days of Harry Gration and Judith Stamper (Mike Smartt and Sophie Rayworth when she was a newbie...)
I remember when Hull FC and Hull KR both reached the Challenge Cup Final (or some major Rugby League cup tie) and even though Look North was 'from Leeds' they devoted the programme to the Hull rivalry and me and my Dad went to see Harry and Judith present Look North LIVE from Hull Paragon Station.
ANYWAY>>>> my point is that my Mum & Dad feel a stronger connection to Leeds/York/Harrogate and would rather get the Leeds Look North (they do in fact use their Sky box to watch it more often than not). They have zero personal affiliation to Worksop and Lincoln. The Hull region is bonkers on most levels, and Hull people don't like it.

Fred, I don't think has gone part time just yet. He still does 5 day **** on nearly all weeks in addition to presenting late and lunchtime updates.

Why was it set up anyway ? I don't think it was a case of 'me too' from the Beeb, because YTV also
had that as a sub opt (I'm sure they had abandoned the idea, at the time the Beeb launched theirs ?)
There's another sound reason why it sould be ditched, there's deep overlap between its transmitter (Belmont)
and the 'Leeds' transmitter at Emley. Consequently folk deep inside Yorkshire end up with the programme,
for topological and technical reasons
