Christa paid £30k despite being off screen for 10 weeks, according to an insider quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post at least.
With Amanda Harper going on maternity soon and Christa still awol, they are going to be quite short of on air talent at this rate.

I remember watching her a lot during the regional segments on Breakfast a couple of years ago on Sky, and I remember her being rather good.

Wasn't she the main presenter before the BBC poached the 'python' from YTV and moved her to Breakfast?

Did she actually broadcast from Hull or was it from a store room in Leeds?
And obviously when Hull became 'The Levy Show' she was carted off to Breakfast (via maternity!).
Was a shame that Helen Morton couldn't stay, even Helen Philpot was a better choice than the person currently in the chair*. Strong words there.

Looks like we've seen the last of her. She disappeared from Calendar in 2001 with no explanation and now she's done the same at Look North. Maybe she's going back to Calendar!
