BBC North's equivalent of BBC West Midlands Suzanne Virdee incident maybe?

She's in Australia visiting family, it's regularly mentioned on her Twitter.

It's been noted here before that she rarely takes time off so has presumably saved all her holidays up.

All it takes is a 'there is no problem' announcement from the Beeb though.

I think she returned to the UK a week or so ago (or so she said on Twitter) - I'd say if she isn't back on Monday something odd might be going on. It's not been the quite the same without Christa so I look forward to her return!

Looking on Twitter, quite a few people have been asking Christa when she's back on Look North. She's normally quite good at replying to people, but doesn't ever seem to answer that question. Can't help feeling there's more to this than an extended holiday.

Calendar being presented from the right hand side of the set this evening (with plasma behind and Kate Walby on the separate section of the sofa) - I suppose their big projector screen has stopped working.
