What was with the Look North weather map ? In ensuring they covered all the west, they managed to cut off the east coast.

Tim Smith the editor seen on tonights late bulletin.

And Look North manged to opt out early into BBC London, who then opted too late into the weather! Excellent.

...and what about the people of Lincolnshire & East Yorkshire who have to put up with it every day! Bring back the old Look North from Leeds, at least there was some news in the old programme.
Yep, if the BBC were serious about saving money they simply could move it all back to Leeds and have a little opt out for 'Ull news.
I'd forgotten how rubbish he was - I don't think the lack of content is helping but his interviews have been terrible and keeps doing odd and annoying bits, like recapping the story behind every report after it ends. Thank god it's only for today...

In case anyone is interested, Dean Pepall was in charge with a pan-Yorkshire drive time show on Local Radio this afternoon, coming from Sheffield.
Dean has now left BBC Radio Sheffield, Howard Pressman takes over Drive from Tuesday.

Blimey, he's been there years.

Does anyone else think the use of intros like "you're watching ITV News, this is Calendar" sounds rather mangled? It's either "ITV News" or it's "Calendar" - sounds like they can't make their minds up about what the programme's called. Why can't they make things easier and say "you're watching Calendar from ITV News" or something along those lines?
On a related note - it might be my eyes, but I'm definitely sure Calendar is using the old ITV font on graphics in some of their reports...
