The Yorkshire and Lincolnshire Thread

I saw that - thought it was a mistake at first. Really doesn't work in a cramped little studio like Look North's.

Happened again tonight, and I agree horrid.

They can't quite manage the same fluid camera movements either - it's all very wobbly. Look North do occasionally try a few creative shots but they are quite limited with what they can do in that little space.

I never understood when they spent all that money on both Quarry Hill and Queenies in Hull why the BBC didn't invest in decent studio space. At Woodhouse Lane their studio used to be able to carry a 'news area' and a sofa area for Cliff's sake! And don't forget the size of the cameras back then too. Absolutely no excuse to still be broadcasting from a boot room.

Once again the BBC being short termist.

I'd forgotten how rubbish he was - I don't think the lack of content is helping but his interviews have been terrible and keeps doing odd and annoying bits, like recapping the story behind every report after it ends. Thank god it's only for today...

...and what about the people of Lincolnshire & East Yorkshire who have to put up with it every day! Bring back the old Look North from Leeds, at least there was some news in the old programme.

The weather was interesting, Paul tried to make it inclusive mentioning many areas even though everything but the outlook was just the usual Leeds area map.

Shame they didn't read out a letter from a blue rinser at the end like they used to do in the old days

I wonder if Peter will be back at 10:25?
