Bilsdale is picked up loud and clear here in Sheffield using my rooftop aerial pointing at Emley Moor. The latter is 17 miles away as the crow flies, the former 70, yes 70, miles away.
Even before switchover at Bilsdale in September, the analogue channels were always near perfect and the main BBC digital channels were watchable, despite being rather weak. Since the digital power has gone up after switchover I can get all of Bilsdale's channels at a very decent strength.

Never realised and I'm fairly close to Sheffield too. Still can't get Levy Live, but maybe it's a small mercy

Yes, same here. Despite having a very good Bilsdale signal, Belmont has always been extremely poor here. I could just about make out Belmont analogue channels (except of course C5), but they were completely unwatchable and even the high power post-switchover digital signals are hardly traceable. You do see some aerials in Sheffield pointing at Belmont however, presumably because they cannot even get a signal from Sheffield (Crosspool) as well as Emley Moor. In my case, it's probably because there is a hill in my line of sight for Belmont, and that hill just so happens to be the one the Sheffield transmitter is on.
Clare Frisby with Paul Hudson this lunchtime, not often you see Clare after 9am thesedays.
Only ever happens at Christmas - she's a great presenter so it's a shame we don't see her doing other slots or the main show. Beats Nicola Rees that's for sure.

Very strange the pecking order in Leeds. Ian White the face of the late news for so long isn't allowed near a sofa anymore, whilst Clare, a long time resident of the sofa moved first to 'Ull and then to a fate worse than Lunchtimes, the breakfast bin.
All seems to be a lot of internal BBC politics. Even though Ian is no longer on lates it seems that means he will never present any bulletin, even if the rest of the newsroom was off sick. Same that Clare Frisby never appears outside of Breakfast except for one day at Christmas. They have all kinds of presenters doing lunchtimes depending on who is on/whether there is an OB in the main programme later/who is the right suitable 'face' to be around to do the 8pm etc, yet it's never Clare at lunchtime.
