Well I cannot disagree that you knew where you were with her. As a regular visitor to Hull you knew that she clearly appeared disinterested in what the viewer/listener thought!
I would be wrong to name names but I was not refering to the person you mention but another. I liked Auntie Kath you knew where you were with her.
Notice too that there is no mention of one of the best editors Look Levy had, Steve Punter. He had all the right ideas but (allegedly) again fell foul of the parochial atmosphere in Hull.
I've found the whole show to be unwatchable for many years now, I suppose since both Helen's left.
It really needs a 'double header' and not be the egofest that it appears to me now. It's too small a region for it to be turned into the 'Peter Levy Show'.
Unless of course that is what the 'surveys' say and thats what the Grannies want.
The 'programme' is too much Partridge for me, and there is only one Partridge. (It's not Charlie either).
An ideal opportunity coming up soon to solve many of the 'issues'. Harry retires, Peeta Joins Christa in Leeds - most grannies only watch to see His Levyship anyway.
Its the perfect time to shed the expensive lease on Queenies gardens. There are some nice offices which could be used for a small Hull Opt studio and Radio Bumbleside available near the Humber bridge. They have good access to all points for staff, parking for sat truck and radio car & savings (no duplicate management) mean more money for journalism. Viewers would still get 8-10 mins of Lincs/E Yorks news (Look Hull has to be padded as there is rarely enough news to fill a programme most days).

Is there anything stopping both Christa and Peter doing a pre-recorded Hull show before hand (or Leeds) akin to the ITV networks?
Although as for Harry retiring, he's still got a bit to go before reaching Sir Frederick of Dineage, still on Meridian at 70+.

Have to say I'd rather have more local padding than hearing about murders and incidents in Leeds, Sheffield, Huddersfield etc

But then what do the people of the ceremonial Lincolnshire (and North Norfolk) have? Constant news about Hull, the Humber Bridge, oh and Hull. You could probably create 'Hull Today' and give back Lincolnshire to Harry and Christa.

Totally disagree - we get more Lincs news and features than is often credited for

No to that idea from me. More and more things cover the Humber region. It would be lunacy to split the Humber between two separate programmes. The end result would be duplication of stories (Humberside Police, Fire, Economy, possible city region deal etc).
Just caught the end of LN Hull. Peter was stood up in front of the big screen?! What is going on!! I am so used to the same camera angles and set up day in day out - I feel totally disorientated for the rest of the evening!
Was there a reason? Has the desk been a sacrifical lamb for the Newsnight issues??!

I'm more surprised he doesn't have a guitar with him and the background is nice Laura Ashley wallpaper and a table with nothing but a teapot on it, whilst Peter reads slowly from the Hull Daily Mail for 25 minutes. The old biddies would lap it up.
