I think Nicola Rees is doing the bits and bobs of presenting that Amy Garcia normally does - but she's down south for a while. She's not a great presenter really but hopefully she'll get better in time.

Nicola also had the regional reporting role on Crimewatch Roadshow last week as they were in West and South Yorkshire.

Also they tend to need a young/female person to do the 90 second update, you never see the likes of Christa or Harry do that slot.

They used to use Ian White all the time before he was oddly removed from presenting duties - think the only region that didn't follow the young female 'guideline'!

Phil Bodmer did the 8pm the other night...

Tom Ingall reporting live into Breakfast this morning, Charlotte doing the same yesterday. It's good that they are using local reporters rather than shipping someone in.

Unusual to see Keeley Donovan presenting Look North during Breakfast this morning, particularly when she then handed over to Lisa for the weather. You never usually see two weather presenters in the same place at the same time!

When Yorkshire had floods recently, I remember Keeley presenting the lunchtime bulletin and had a discussion with Lisa about the impact of the weather.

Nicola Rees is presenting the main programme tomorrow with Harry. I always wonder why they don't use some slightly more familiar presenting faces like Charlotte Leeming and Amanda Harper? I don't think Nicola is that great a presenter as of yet, seeing as she's only done odd lunchtime/3pm updates over the past few months. I may be wrong though and she turns out to be great! We'll have to wait and see.

Is Claire Frisby still there and doing Breakfast?

Charlotte and Amanda are both off, Tanya's at the Olympics, Amy is at BBC South. There's not many options left Smile

I thought the same about Amy Garcia who seemed to go from occasional fill in presenting to main programme quite quickly. It doesn't seem to take much before they look quite short staffed lately.

There seems to be a lot of politics surrounding who can present what at Look North, for example Ian White and Clare Frisby. On Calendar there seems to be more flexibility.

It's Harry's last Look North tomorrow before he goes to do the Olympics, I presume we will have Phil Bodmer filling in for 3 weeks in his absence.
